Positive Quotes is not a novel. It is an autobiography that has been in the works for over ten years. It’s written by James Edgar, a non-practicing Catholic who has found that he can be a very effective Christian minister. If you are looking for a positive look at faith and its impact on your life, this book is something that you should look into.
I was recently reading an article by Larry Carothers and he mentioned that he had read How Positive Quotes Can Affect Life. That was what got me started on the book. I was intrigued by how it was written and how Edgar believes that the philosophy of positive thinking helps people change their lives. The writer of the article mentioned that there were some negative quotes in the book.
Positive Quotes Can Affect Your Career
Now I am a convert to Catholicism and it certainly helps to hear these words from a knowledgeable person. Still, I really liked the message in the book and was glad to see how positive thinking can help improve your life.
There were lots of useful things in the book that I hadn’t heard before, such as those found in the footnotes. I have always been looking for places to find quotes on faith and why it matters in my life. I don’t believe in God but I do believe in having a belief in God and spirituality in general.
Of course, the author of the book does go over many quotes that are negative. There are quotations about issues such as anti-Semitism and eugenics. But the author also has plenty of quotes that are positive and are written from different religions and denominations.
Some Few Things You Could Learn From Reading
Reading the quotes in the book I was able to learn something from each one. I learned about how people used to say those negative words and some that were positive. I even learned more about religion and how Christians use positive quotations to help the entire community.
James Edgar makes many references to people in the “post-Christian” churches. He mentions that they still hold onto their faith and love for Jesus. The author of the book reminds us of the need to be open to new ways of thinking and not closed-minded.
He doesn’t list the quotes in the book, but he tells us that he put together the book by himself. Of course he also quotes some religious leaders.
Being Religious, How It All Comes Together
I enjoyed the information that I learned in How Can Affect Life. I was reminded of how I used to have a lot of problems with faith and religious practice but I found that I could open my mind to new teachings if I just persevered.
There is one quote that I think is rather telling and it comes from an article written by the author of How Can Affect Life: “Like many Christian authors, Edgar points out that ‘expertise has many enemies.’ I suppose that’s an understatement.”
That line from Edgar in How Can Affect Life may be the most interesting because it is something that has probably come into your mind as you read the book. He asks us to keep our eyes open and be aware of what is going on around us.
I definitely enjoyed reading the positive quotes in How Can Affect Life. In fact, I can recommend this book to anyone who is a follower of God’s word. Although I still find problems with some of the information, I have learned a lot.
